Steps to Restore Fortigate Backup

Login to Fortigate

Open a browser and access the Fortigate IP (e.g., https://192.168.1.99).

Enter your administrator username and password.

Go to Backup & Restore Menu

After login, navigate to System > Dashboard > System Information.

Find the System Configuration section.

Click Restore.

Upload Backup File

Click the Browse button to select the backup configuration file (.conf or .backup) previously saved.

Choose the backup file from your computer.

Restore Configuration

After selecting the file, click OK or Restore.

Fortigate will start restoring the configuration from the backup file.

This process usually requires a device reboot; wait until Fortigate restarts.
